 Farmer's Gold is only manufacturing pipe tobacco It comes in Full Flavor, Menthol, Mild. These tobaccos will be cheaper and smoke about the same as the RYO Cigarette Tobacco. They will be sold in 8 oz bags. We will be offering these 8oz bags to you for $15.70 plus shipping outside the state of Texas. In the State of Texas there is a $1.10 per ounce Tax Now, Making the tobacco cost $24.50 per 8 ounce bag. This tobacco is (RYO Cut) and can be used in RYO Cigarette Tubes with the same great Flavor. Please Call us Direct to order these Tobacco's until we solve our problem with the Credit Card Processor's...no names now, but they don't run the retail business we do. We can process your credit card's through our in store credit card company. Thanks.
Effective September 1, 2009, the excise tax on pipe, chewing, snuff and cigarette tobaccos in Texas will increase to $1.10 per ounce. This new tax was snuck in by our Texas congress at the last minute and was passed before anyone in our industry knew anything about it.
Our policy has been to charge 20% over our regular tobacco prices to our Texas customers to help cover our previous tax rate, which was 40% of our cost. Effective September 1, we will be forced to implement a new pricing structure for our Texas customers. All tobacco OTHER THAN CIGARS will be sold at the prices listed on this web site plus $1.10 per ounce. Cigars are not affected by this tax increase. Please note that customers outside of Texas are responsible for any taxes due in their state. Our prices for out of state customers will remain as shown on this web site! We truly appreciate your understanding and promise to do whatever we can to have this unfair tax repealed.
